SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

2020-2021 School Year

 

The Huntsville Post is accepting applications for its $2000, $3000, $4000, $5000, $6000 and $7000 Scholarships for School Year 2020 - 2021.

 

There are also two $2000 scholarships and two $1000 scholarships for local universities for School Year 2020 – 2021: One $2000 Scholarship and one $1000 scholarship are designated for UAH students and one $2000 scholarship and one $1000 scholarship are designated for AAMU students. The student must also be a college full-time undergraduate while scholarship is in effect, majoring in engineering, mathematics, or natural sciences.

 

The William E. Bowers Memorial $7000 Scholarship, is designated for a son/daughter or grandson/granddaughter or stepson/stepdaughter of an active or deceased member of the Huntsville Post, S.A.M.E., or an active student member of the Huntsville Post, S.A.M.E. The student must also be full-time college freshman or sophomore while scholarship is in effect, majoring in engineering, mathematics, or natural sciences.

 

The Huntsville Post’s $6000 Scholarship, $5000 Scholarship, $4000 Scholarship, $3000 Scholarship and the $2000 Scholarship are designated for a son/daughter or grandson/granddaughter or stepson/stepdaughter of an active or deceased member of the Huntsville Post, S.A.M.E., or an active student member of the Huntsville Post, S.A.M.E. The student must also be full-time college undergraduate student while scholarship is in effect, majoring in engineering, mathematics, or natural sciences.

The 2020 Schedule for Applications is:

  • May 15: Deadline for receipt of applications

  • May 16 - June 5: Review of applications, selection and personal interviews of top applicants (if applicable), and selection of winners.

  • June 11: Presentation of scholarships at June Post meeting.
